SATISFIED EMPLOYERS

Over 150 employers have participated in the Summer on the Cuyahoga internship program. They represent the diverse array of offerings available in Northeast Ohio. Overwhelmingly, the employers have been impressed with the quality of the candidate pool, their experience with selected interns, and the program as a whole.

"The Summer on the Cuyahoga Program gave Huron Hospital an opportunity to support a wonderful, worthwhile community-based program that brought talented students and committed organizations together in the Cleveland Metropolitan area. Huron Hospital benefited as much from the student intern as did the student learn from us. What a great way to spend the summer! It makes me want to be a student again so that I could participate in such a dynamic program and see Cleveland from a new and exciting perspective."

"In our short involvement with the program, our organization has benefited significantly through an intern and a full time employee. The energy and talent from these individuals is invigorating for all who have the opportunity to work with them."
-Lubrizol

"We have been extremely pleased with the caliber, enthusiasm and hard work of the students participating in the Summer on the Cuyahoga program. This program offers employers the opportunity to work with students who can make a substantial contribution to a companys' operations. The program also showcases the opportunties available to students interested in relocating to our region."

"Since 2005 we have looked forward each summer to working with a new "Summer on the Cuyahoga" intern. Each time they have risen to the challenge of working on difficult and involved projects whether working independently or within a team. While they are only with us for 10 short weeks, they have consistently demonstrated their ability to "hit the ground running", bringing enthusiasm and great skill sets to the table. We admire their ability to become deeply immersed in whatever project is at hand, making a difference that lasts long after they have moved on. As a department that promotes regional initiatives to encourage companies to relocate to this region and hire our local talent, we are equally proud to align ourselves with this important program whose talented, success driven young people, after interning in the Cleveland and surrounding areas, often choose to relocate here as well."
-Cuyahoga County Department of Workforce Development

"...our SOTC interns were eager to do whatever was necessary for the success of the program from the mundane to actual program development and implementation. They have also been able to work independently unlike many interns who seem to need constant supervision and encouragement to take a project to the next level. We have been thrilled with the program and are looking forward to the next summer!"
